Andrew Palmer Incredible band with dynamic writing, varied instrumentation and a distinctive sound while keeping a punk backbone. The great storytelling is a perfect bonus. I'm always ready for more. Favorite track: Cold Rain and Snow.

pyrewall I got this for Poor Michael, which really moved me the first time I heard it. I can imagine some armed forces recruitment advert taking snippets of Cold Rain and Snow and using it to portray the opposite message to the song (a la Fortunate Son). Favorite track: Poor Michael.

vivalaerik I don't love just this album. What this band does is amazing. They used to make modern versions of old songs or new songs that sound like old songs. I loved their style. Now with foreign skies they even wrote their own songs. I count the Dreadnoughts as one of my favorite bands of all time and hope to hear more of them wich is why I bought this album
Favorite track: Cold Rain and Snow.

Tom Collins Don't know how these didn't make it to the main album, they're just perfect. Can't wait for the next album! Favorite track: Top of the Hill.

Poor Michael 02:04
Faces down, eyes to front you'll get what you need boys You'll get what you want fingers hard on biting steel to the power you appeal Summer rain gonna set you free bury the ashes under the sea and the dawn will break across your skin And wash away your sin hearts of burning leather up the road together say your prayers, sing your lullabies their day isn't won yet we'll make it up by sunset and all our gladness we will spill but cast your eyes about the shore doesn't it feel like you've been here before Achilles rage, Helen's shame she's whispering your name hearts of burning leather up the road together let's away, let's do it all again don't you look around you at the fire that surrounds you as the wheel keeps turning ever still but think back I implore you, what was the ship that bore you? Agammemnon was her name the bullet's premonition your final recognition that there's nothing here but Zeus' will at the top of the hill

about

4 songs that weren't good enough to make "Foreign Skies"! But, ya know, they're still pretty good.
