Our second biggest influence is probably the Pogues, but that’s a distant second. Without Stan Rogers, the Dreadnoughts would not exist, it’s that simple. And yes, our lead singer really did start the band after hearing a bunch of hippies singing “environmentally correct” versions of sea shanties (“thank pod we’re homeward bound”… no joke… ).
